Annual Symposium and Research Innovation Grant

TRAC-PG’ s 4rth Annual Pediatric Palliative Care Research Symposium: “A Day about Grief & Loss” was held on Tuesday October 30th, 2012 at SickKids. Poster submissions will soon be available for viewing. Thank you to our many sponsors and community partners for helping us put together such a successful day.  Hold the date for next year’s event - Wednesday October 16th, 2013.

The Innovation Fund in Children’s Palliative Care Research grants $10,000 annually through the Sasha Bella Fund for Family Centred Care and the SickKids Foundation to support innovative pediatric palliative care research. This year (2012), 3 grant applications were reviewed.  We are pleased to announce that this year’s Innovation Fund recipient is: Beaune, L., Nicholas, D., Bruce-Barrett, C, Cadell, S and Ing, S.  “Pandemic Planning: Developing Consensus towards a National Planning Guide for Hospital Based Pediatric Palliative Care Programs”
($4,500.00)
