TRAC-PG Membership
Advisory Board Members
Board members will include a variety of experts including parents/family members, administrators, consumer representatives, key researchers, educators, policy makers and government stakeholders. The Board will provide broad sweeping guidance and expertise to the research framework and priorities of the research group. As well, the Board will provide key leadership in endorsing and supporting the activities of TRAC-PG and in influencing the growth of pediatric palliative care and research. The Advisory Board will meet once to twice per year.

Co-Directors are responsible for the overall leadership and accountability for TRAC-PG including major decision-making, planning and leading related meetings, leading and/or participating in research and budget/fiscal responsibility.
Dr. Maru Barrera, PhD
Maru is a psychologist with the Division of Haematology/Oncology and a Senior Scientist within the Research Institute at SickKids. Maru also is an Associate Professor in several academic programs at the University of Toronto.
Laura Beaune, MSW, Res. Dip. SW
Laura is the Research Coordinator for the Palliative and Bereavement Care Service and a Project Director within the Research Institute/SickKids.

Christine is the palliative care physician at SickKids.
In memoriam
Dr. Beverley Antle, PhD *
Beverley was a driving force behind the development of the TRAC-PG team until her untimely death in November 2006. She held several positions at SickKids including: an Academic and Clinical Specialist within the Department of Social Work/SickKids, the Director of the PKU program/SickKids and as an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Her passion and energy will continue to influence the ongoing growth and work of TRAC-PG.
Members (Investigators & Co-Investigators)
Members are actively involved in and/or planning to be involved in research studies at various levels of leadership (i.e PI, Co-PI, research team members). Members participate in monthly TRAC-PG meetings and offer the following: generate research ideas; provide updates on research studies; make decisions through group consensus regarding vision/mission/mandate, membership and overall activities of TRAC-PG; provide consultation/expertise to members and others as requested; participate in annual strategic planning sessions; conduct related REB reviews; and offer learning/academic/mentorship opportunities when available.

Associate Members/Collaborators
Associate Members/Collaborators have a broad interest in palliative and bereavement care research. Associate Members provide the following: may have a leadership and/or participatory role on selected research studies; provide guidance with regard to a specialty area (such as ethics, knowledge transfer, policy), provide information regarding broad research updates, financial and other related resources and/or participate on selected studies as a collaborative partner. Associate Members do not have decision making or voting privileges with TRAC-PG and are not expected to attend monthly meetings.
